Hi/Bienvenue! Welcome to the homepage of Pengyi Liao.
Pengyi Liao is currently a thesis-based master’s student and research assistant at Concordia University with a major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Montreal, Canada. He is also the recipient of the Concordia Merit Scholarship (2020) from the School of Graduate Studies. He is also a graduate student at the School of Electrical and Automation of Wuhan University, Wuhan, China (expected to graduate in June 2021). He received his Bachelor’s degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2017.
Pengyi’s research interests include machine learning and data mining(especially in transfer learning), cyber-physical security, and smart grid. He works with 6 colleagues in Dr. Yan’s team and does his intern in Mitacs with Ericsson now.
Pengyi used to be a part-time American football player, played for the Wuhan Griffins from 2016 to 2019. He won the Central China Division Championship (2017) and the second place in the City Bowl (2018). He lives in Montreal, with a great dog named George, and 2 cats named Pangpang and Gatito.
